DID YOU KNOW?
April 15, 2010 in Company Messages | Leave a comment
Always looking for new ways to separate us from our competition, Imaginethis Media Studios Inc is please to announce that we will be introducing a new blog series aptly titled “Did you know?” to help showcase our history, product design, and overall focus within the interactive media and advertising realm. Every week we will showcase to you one of our products, give you a brief history and then provide you with some examples of what can be accomplished and how it can benefit you.
Did you know? – EP.01 - INTERACTIVE MATERIAL SELECTION SYSTEM
Originally developed in 1999 our team leaders sought to develop a product that would integrate our photo-realistic renderings with a simple point and click interface allowing for material selections to change. Little did anyone know just how big this product would become. Our I-Select Interactive Material Selection System became extremely popular with builders and developers looking for that competitive edge on marketing. Coupled with a simple slogan “Click. Change. No Surprises.” the I-Select helped to introduce a means by which clients could customize their new home and offered developers the ability to now give potential buyers the ability to “Test Drive” the home before building. Clients could view different colour combinations and review textures that they would otherwise be forced to visualize from a wall sample.
Eleven years later the I-Select is still one of our most popular products and has become more scalable (no limit on materials), more realistic and overall more interactive. In the next few weeks our 2010 model will be released online with the Kiosk based system having already been released and is sure to not disappoint. The I-select has also help to introduce new technology as a backbone for new products such as the I-MotionVR. A product that will be showcased in an upcoming blog.

Imaginethis Media Studios is proud to showcase the new branding initiative developed for Chatham-Kent’s premier custom home builder – Trevor Mailloux of TMC Construction. Imaginethis was contracted to re-develop a new logo and business card, design and program a custom website, integrate an SEO (Search Engine Optimization) program and finally – design and print new trade show banner stands as well as backdrop graphics.
“Trevor and his team at TMC Construction are great to work with” says Managing Director / Partner – Duane Addy. “We were able to offer them the very best in modern technology and print design while maintaining an efficient budget and they were able to provide us with some amazing projects they have completed.” Amazing art work and photography tends to make our job a little easier. After seeing some of these projects we very quickly understood why he is Chatham-Kent’s premier home builder. Imaginethis took the initiative and designed not only the materials for the booth but designed the trade show booth itself. When the show opened clients were amazed at the new “See it before you build it” program that the ITMStudios team implemented. A program that utilizes the Interactive Material Selection System as its backbone and delivers exacting detail and realism.

We have taken the Mascot we designed, our green screen studio, and Kateyln (you may remember Katelyn from The Garden That Grew Her video book trailer produced by Imaginethis) and produced this segment for the Chatham-Kent Police Force.
Here is a write up from the Chatham-Kent Police Media Information Officer:
Community SMARTS Mascot Named
When the Chatham-Kent Police Service launched its new website in October, a contest was created to name the Community SMARTS mascot. Children from across the municipality were invited to submit names for consideration. The contest closed on November 30, 2009 and 107 names submissions were received. After careful consideration, a name has been selected.
Later this morning, a young girl will be picked up at her school in a police vehicle and escorted to the Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters. She will meet Chief Dennis Poole, be presented with the mascot’s birth certificate, receive a private tour of the station, and enjoy lunch with the Chief.
We will also be revealing 2.5 minute video on our website to introduce the Community SMARTS mascot with its new name. The video combines a human actor with an animated mascot, and has been created by Imaginethis Media Studios of Chatham, Ontario.

ITMStudios launches new imagery for Florida firm

Imaginethis Media Studios was retained by Florida based Montenero to develop design & renderings for one of their residential concrete projects. The goal was to show potential purchasers how one style of their homes can work both inside and out in a variety of settings. The first exterior was designed as more mid western and the second was designed with more tropical appeal. The interiors boast all major amenities that a conventional residence would such as a beautiful Kitchen and Dining Area, open concept Living Area and upper loft Family Room. Imaginethis provided interior and exterior renderings as well as interactive panoramas to showcase numerous details.
Montenero is a Florida-based company with patented “machine form” technology used by developers and builders to create five-sided monolithic steel-reinforced concrete structures capable of withstanding 220 MPH category 5 hurricane winds. The technology has been used to build affordable homes, high-end condominium developments, elementary schools, mid-priced homes and high-security prisons in weather-risk markets in the Southeastern US and Caribbean.
